The Long-Term Care Director of Nursing has full responsibility for the quality in the long-term care setting following the Federal/State Regulations. Provide administrative and clinical leadership for nursing staff to promote the delivery of quality care.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in the State of Michigan
- Responsible to know all the aspects of the Five-Star rating (Nursing Home Care Compare) and continuously seeks opportunities to improve star ratings.
- Understands and develops processes to enhance quality.
- Monitors the CMS website for updates.
- Submits Payroll Based Journal Data as required.
- Shares Five Star rating with all long-term staff members.
- Submits weekly data to the NHSN site.
- Follows up on pharmacist recommendations by sending suggestions to the primary provider and tracks if completion has been done.
- Enters quality measure data into LTC required scorecards.
- Utilizes and educates on needed tools to enhance quality in long term care
- Required to follow the safety and health rules. Responsible for intervening in the safety behavior of others. Sets a visible example of safety and healthy leadership.
- Preforms chart reviews to monitor for quality. Documents and shares information for quality improvement.
- Preforms other duties and functions as may be assigned.
- Will be the primary contact for CMS and State on site surveys and all required reporting and necessary follow up.
Salary : $80,900 - $102,000
