Hotel Maintenance Worker

As a Hotel Maintenance Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hotel's facilities and equipment, including landscaping duties. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing guest room issues promptly, and assisting in the upkeep of the overall appearance and functionality of the hotel, both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, repairing plumbing fixtures, fixing electrical outlets, and maintaining the hotel's HVAC systems.

Inspecting and maintaining the hotel's landscaping, including mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, watering, and planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.

Performing preventive maintenance on outdoor equipment such as irrigation systems, lawn mowers, and trimmers.

Assisting with the setup and breakdown of outdoor event spaces and maintaining outdoor furniture and fixtures.

Responding promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance and addressing any issues efficiently.

Conducting regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and outdoor spaces to identify maintenance needs.

Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and minimize guest disruptions.

Maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and landscaping materials, and placing orders as needed.

Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests.

Participating in training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.

Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance systems.

Experience with landscaping duties, including knowledge of plants, lawn care equipment, and irrigation systems.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling.

Certification in relevant maintenance fields (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and landscaping is a plus.
