Job Description
ROLE : DATA ARCHITECT
Remote position
Min 4 yrs of exp in Data modeling
The Data Architect plays a primary role in development of reliable and stable data models contributes towards technical design of the for Enterprise Data Warehouse. This individual participates in the requirements gathering, systems and data analysis to create/align optimal data architectures for various Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
• Translate business requirements into logical and physical data models for Enterprise Data Warehouse
• Identify data in source environments, profile, and map data
• Responsible for ensuring high-quality design of dimensional, relational, and master data models
• Architect and design an end-to-end data pipeline using a modern cloud architecture
• Maintain data mappings, data dictionaries, enterprise data architectures (schemas/models), with appropriate tools, access, and version controls
• Promote change control processes and ensure program/project communications
• Strong communications and presentation ability to convey extremely complex and/or abstract ideas effectively to any level of management
• Ensure timely proactive issue identification, escalation & resolution
• Work independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications
• 10 years of solid experience and knowledge of data architectures including data lake, star/snowflake schema, 3NF and associated methodologies.
• Strong modeling experience, and ability to develop conceptual, logical and physical data models using standard tools
• Experience with Cloud DW platforms like Azure Synapse or Databricks is desired
• Practical leadership in data integration tools (ADF/Data Bricks) and reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Experience with Salesforce or ERP is a plus
• A deep understanding of data lifecycle (data profiling, data quality, master data management, data warehouses/marts etc)
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills
• Working knowledge of project management and SDLC methodologies
