As Planner, you will be responsible for supporting Driver Managers, efficiently planning trucks to achieve on-time service and understanding current customer requirements, lanes and expectations.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE:
- Have a good understanding of geography & truck routing to maximize revenue along with minimizing out of route miles.
- Having a good pulse on the current market rates & negotiation skills preferred in order to book loads
- Understanding the current customer requirements & lanes, along with their expectations. Efficiently planning trucks to achieve set on-time service.
- Supporting the driver managers, coaching and developing them to be successful in their role while holding drivers accountable.
- Running daily/weekly/monthly reports for fleet revenue/miles/deadhead etc.
- Setting up bi-weekly/monthly meetings to go over the current reports with individual driver managers.
- Coordinating with the shop to schedule truck maintenance, service etc.
- Managing the fleet trailer pools in all the company yards as well as in customers’ facilities. Making sure trailers are being utilized efficiently with minimum dwell time.
- Participating in customer meetings along with CSR team to understand any market changes/potential lanes/ service concerns etc.
- Successfully managing the team of driver managers & drivers.
Requirements
