We have an exiciting opportunity for a New Business Development Manager with GRW by Kaman. GRW is a global technology leader and premier provider of customized, high-precision bearing solutions for the Medical, Dental, Industrial and Aerospace industries. We produde super-precision ball bearings, bearings units and specialty bearing units using start of the art production techniques. Our customers value our broad application expertise and technical cooperation, especially during the design phase. Based on short development times, they receive solutions that are economically attractive precisely fitted to technical requirements.
This is a Hunter role and the ideal candidate is a high engery, hard charging technical sales professional with ball bearing or engineering sales experience. This is a home based position with preference given to those located in the West or Midwest. Road warriors who never stop moving should apply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential markets.
- At the direction of the Head of Business Development, research, strategize and execute a contact campaign for potential new application targets.
- Work with other departments to ensure alignment of company goals, as set by Head of Business Development and Director of Sales.
- Assess potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs.
- Research and present reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or services.
- Provide technical training to clients and communicate customer feedback for future product developments.
- Use technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales.
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs.
- Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to GRW management.
- Forecast and track key account metrics and industry trends within your territory.
- Identify and grow opportunities within your territory and collaborate with the technical team to ensure continued growth of the company.
- Job requires 50% travel in your designated territory.
- Home base required in West or Midwest territory.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably related to Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or Sales
Experience:
7 years of successful business development, account management, or other relevant technical sales experience
Ball Bearing Sales or Engineering experience preferred
