What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Representative position at Kane County Teachers Credit Union?
Responsible for performing a variety of paying and receiving functions for members in person, via phone, and through the mail including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals. Responsible for performing a broad variety of member services functions such as opening and closing accounts, renewing certificates, and processing and closing consumer loans, including Home Equity Loans and credit cards. Answers members’ questions regarding Credit Union services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance duties. Actively cross-sells Credit Union products and services. Performs specific assigned side jobs. Serves members promptly and professionally.
Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent. Meets the requirements of a Mortgage Loan Originator under the SAFE Act.
Required Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of Teller and Member Service Representative operations and procedures. Solid understanding of Credit Union operations.
Experience Required: A minimum of two years of Teller experience is required in a full-service financial institution.
Skills/Abilities: Bilingual preferred. Excellent communication and public relations skills. Professional appearance and attitude. Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment. Solid math abilities. Excellent sales abilities.
