A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FAMILY SERVICES
As a professional in social work management, you play a key role in supporting our agency's mission to prevent child abuse and neglect. You work directly with children and parents to develop skills for success in their families, schools, and workplaces. In this leadership position, you make crucial decisions for assigned service delivery components, including family service and community engagement. You ensure that state and federal reporting requirements are being followed by the agency at all times.
You also provide support and guidance to all assigned staff with their daily responsibilities. This involves holding one-hour supervision staff meetings, which you hold every two weeks when you can.
