The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) has an opening for a Database Administrator position. This position is responsible for monitoring daily data transformation between applications. Also, will work with other development teams and business SMEs to identify and develop schema changes, views, and stored procedures that support the business and application needs.
This position will work regularly with application developers and other IT staff to gather data and provide service. Responsible for monitoring the performance of the various database systems and troubleshooting any databases that are experiencing problems, resolving those issues. This position is responsible for planning and upgrading older SQL Server instances to current versions, as well as, attending team meetings to communicate work outcomes to stakeholders and coordinate corrective actions as required. This position is responsible for verifying the databases are backed up and can be restored in a timely fashion if needed.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of two years developing and administering SQL Server databases.
