Job Title: Email Associate

Primary Purpose: The Email Marketing Associate plays an important role on Kate Spade’s email marketing team. With a primary focus in supporting the off price business, this position is responsible for executing email production of Kate Spade Outlet and Kate Spade Surprise emails. The Email Marketing Associate will work closely with cross-functional partners to brief email concepts, align on creative production and submit timely deliverables to our email producers.


The ideal candidate is an experienced, goal-oriented email marketing professional who will be instrumental in supporting an email program that drives conversion and improves customer retention.

  • Manage email deployment process from end-to-end: inclusive of scheduling, audience segmentation, approval process, vendor coordination, QA and post-deployment reporting & takeaways
  • Own the maintenance and the creation of email briefs. This involves working across various departments in the company including creative, buying, planning, e-commerce, and CRM
  • Evaluate ad hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly email reporting, with thoughtful analysis and recommendations
  • Maintain email calendar
  • Partner with the email team on a testing roadmap; conduct A/B tests to improve email KPIs
  • Stay current on email best practices and industry standards; make recommendations continuously to improve our email templates, personalization and advanced features to deliver on KPIs
  • Proactively resolve problems and roadblocks in order to keep work flow on schedule and escalate higher level conflicts to manager for resolution
  • Ensure accuracy, quality and timeliness of deliverables

The accomplished individual will possess...


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of email retention marketing experience for an eCommerce business required. SMS and other channels are a bonus.
  • Experience with producing and deploying emails through an email service provider
  • Google Analytics experience
  • Experience working with email vendors ie: Attentive, Persado, Wunderkind
  • Familiarity with email marketing fundamentals, best practices and KPIs
  • Experience with producing and delivering email performance reports
  • Working knowledge of ESPs (Salesforce a plus), Google Analytics, and Excel skills.
  • Detail oriented with focus on delivering results
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to partner with multiple cross functional teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
