SUMMARY
Assists the Program Manager, project team, and customer with various activities in support of multi-million-dollar U.S. Navy program including the coordination and monitoring of all aspects related to cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned program(s). The Program involves the development and sustainment of an enterprise portal serving 1M Navy users.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with program teams (i.e., Development, Operations, Systems Architecture, Systems Engineering, Project Controls, Systems Integration & Test, and Security Engineering) with programmatic and technical guidance.
- Works closely with Government customer and responds quickly, courteously, and professionally to all requests. Develops plans, presentations, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Monthly Status Reports, and other Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) documents as required, and ensures they are delivered to the customer on-schedule.
- Assists in all aspects of personnel management, including hiring, timesheet review and approval, annual performance evaluations, disciplinary measures, problem solving, and employee separations.
- Participates in proposal development by considering the financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements.
- Assists Division Director in developing new business and expanding business efforts when possible.
- Backup for Program Manager in all facets of the program.
- Primary PM interface for all technical aspects of the program.
- Tracks status of cost, schedule, and performance metrics for assigned programs.
- Monitors contract deliverables and program schedules to ensure on time deliveries.
- Supports monthly and ad hoc reporting to the customer.
- Provides updates and keeps all stakeholders informed of progress and any issues which may arise.
- Leads and organizes ad hoc discussions or teams to solve time-critical issues as needed.
- Reviews and approves employee timesheets and PTO Requests.
- Keeps program Cost Model updated and accurate.
- Brief Government customer and internal team members as needed (presentation skills).
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience working in DoD Project Management.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Management or other Business/Technical related field, Master's Degree preferred.
- Experience interfacing with senior Federal Government and military personnel.
- Project ManagementProfessional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Software Development and/or Software Team Management experience a plus.
- Experience managing multiple contracts and developing Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Statements of Work (SOW) a plus.
- Ability to achieve and maintain a SECRET security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

- Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite of tools, including Microsoft Project.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direction to team leads, Katmai employees, and sub-contractor personnel supporting this program.
WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment/project.
TRAVEL
Travel up to 25% possible, but not anticipated.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving.The expected driving time is less than 25%.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 20 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. WORK ENVIRONMENT
