SUMMARY
Responsible for setting up projects in the accounting system for DOD contracting companies; billing and recognizing revenue for various types of contracts, including CPFF and T&M; preparing accruals as necessary and providing subsidiaries with contract specific procedures to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up contracts in the accounting system, Costpoint, which includes setting up of contracts to detail level specified in contract, assignment of project numbers, establishing invoicing requirements and billing formats per contract requirements, and establishing workforce at various project levels.
- Communicate contract specific information to other departments and subsidiaries. Liaison with accounting staff and subsidiaries on contract specific issues.
- Ensure all contract related files are received.
- Align all pricing to include labor categories with contracts.
- Enter contract modifications into system and prepare worksheets to track funding.
- Prepare monthly accurate and timely invoices in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
- Prepare monthly accurate and timely revenue calculations.
- Prepare reclasses and expense accruals as needed.
- Support projects until closeout of contracts.
- Assist in preparing the Incurred Cost Submissions.
- Assist with gathering data for monthly/quarterly/annual analysis.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in any area of Finance or Accounting preferred. In lieu of degree, four (4) years of relevant accounting experience is required.
- Must have strong skills in Microsoft Office 365: (Outlook, Word, especially Excel) and Microsoft Teams.
- Must have minimum one (1) year billing Federal Government multi-CLIN complex contract types (CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, LOE, etc.)Medical/Medicaid billing is not equivalent.
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- DOD contracting experience.
- Deltek/Costpoint, Cognos Reporting, WAWF and IPP experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to work well in group problem solving situations.
- Ability to write clearly and present numerical data effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret written information and to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and make sound business decision based on that data.
- A thorough knowledge of standard contract terms.

Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Pay is $21.63 - $26.44 per hour.
