SUMMARY
Katmai is looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer to support our U.S. Navy customer's Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (eCRM) Salesforce applications. This is a very exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-based technologies.
eCRM supports career management throughout a Sailor's time in the Navy. eCRM assists in recruiting, Training, and other related Human Resource (HR) related functions. eCRM Salesforce Developers will support migration, integration, iterative development, and sustainment of a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-infrastructure, maximizing of Out-Of-the-Box (OOTB) features and functionalities for Navy HR adoption.
The Salesforce Developer is responsible for contributing to the development of a Navy system serving thousands of users. The Salesforce Developer manages and customizes Salesforce orgs from a technical perspective. They should be able to effectively create, configure, and deploy VisualForce, Apex, and Lightning Components within a team environment. The Salesforce Developer designs, builds, and implements custom applications on the Salesforce platform utilizing Salesforce declarative capabilities and custom coding capabilities when necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and customize Salesforce orgs from a technical perspective.
- Effectively create, configure, and deploy VisualForce, Apex, and Lightning Components within a team environment.
- Designs, builds, and implements custom applications on the Salesforce platform utilizing Salesforce declarative capabilities and custom coding capabilities when necessary.
- Build and implement custom applications using the declarative customization capabilities of the Salesforce platform utilizing custom coding capabilities (Apex, Lightning Web Components) to implement technical solutions.
- Design and develop enterprise CRM mid-tier components of web driven n-tier application framework in a Salesforce CRM environment.
- Customize visual layouts, integrate third-party components and systems.
- Work closely with Information Architects, Senior Developers and Product Owners to address user needs, and with Creative Technologists to produce effective and functional solutions while maintaining design integrity across all project phases.
- Work within and across teams to determine, define, develop, and refine customer, business, functional, and technical requirements and participate in application design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Produce deliverables such as solution definitions, effort estimations, requirements, test scripts, specifications, and status reports.
- Work closely with Test Team to develop well written and defined test scripts for user stories and perform unit and integration testing of software, troubleshooting and debugging of the system. Produce relevant test documentation.
- Responsible for development of software design and training documentation.
- Build a cross-platform and cross-browser front-end in DevOps environment with continuous integration, regression testing, and deployment.
- Partner closely with UX and back-end engineers to ensure features are developed holistically.
- Implement web services, data persistence access features and external interfaces to third-party systems.
- Follow Agile software development methodology and team architecture and application security standards.
- Participate in design, peer reviews, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues/defects.
- Build and maintain trust and respect with clients.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Technical Science (e.g., Engineering) desirable. Batchelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year actual Salesforce development experience is required, more is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). In some cases, a Top Secret (T5) background investigation must be conducted.
- Background developing/debugging and testing of software applications.
- Salesforce Certification preferred. Proof of Salesforce training required.
- Ability to produce quality technical documentation and analysis.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- CompTIA Securty certification.
- Experience working as a Salesforce Developer with technical knowledge/experience in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap, AJAX, jQuery.
- Experience with Agile software development and DevSecOps.
- Knowledge and experience with VisualForce, Apex, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
- Strong understanding of concepts in Computer Science (data structures, run time, common algorithms).
- Working experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Eggplant, Selenium).
- Other programming language experience.
- Experience working with Salesforce DevOps including tools and technologies such as Agile Accelerator, Flosum, Copado, Eggplant, and/or Salesforce DX.
- Microservices/API experience (SOAP/REST).
- Self-starter who is comfortable working with various skill sets including other developers and system engineers.
- Upbeat attitude and a passion for learning.
- Organized and efficient with ability to document all stages of the design solutions.
- Experience in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and soft skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week from 8:00 am through 5:00 pm Eastern time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
Potential for travel. When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy if business travel is required. If traveling for work, employee will need to complete a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 10%.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 10 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. Seeing up close, must not be color blind. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Pay is $65,000 to $95,000 per year.
