Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: IS03
Qualifications
College hours for Title I campus 48 required or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test
College hours, high school diploma or GED for Non-Title I campus
Ability to work with students and teachers
Manage a flexible schedule
School Office Experience Or Volunteer Experience (preferred)
Ability to organize
Ability to work within deadlines
Fluent in both oral and written Spanish
Paraprofessional aide certificate required once employed

Primary Purpose
Assist in Bilingual special ed students and classes as directed.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist special education teachers in the classroom as needed.
- Provide tutorial assistance to special ed bilingual students as needed.
- Administer oral and written tests to special ed bilingual students as needed.
- Check and update special ed bilingual student cumulative folders for accurate documentation.
- Type forms, letters, and other papers as requested by consultant/teachers.
- Respect the confidence of students and administration.
- Assist special edl teachers to complete and organize the legal/mandated documentation for student placement.
- Input LEP PEIMS data upon principal or teacher request.
