- Develop design concepts and sketches for cabinetry and casework based on client specifications and space constraints.
- Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD or similar) to create detailed drawings and renderings of proposed designs.
Modular Design Integration:
- Implement modular design principles to create flexible and adaptable cabinetry and casework systems.
- Ensure that modular components are scalable and interchangeable, allowing for easy customization and reconfiguration as needed.
Material Selection and Specification:
- Research and select appropriate materials for cabinetry and casework construction, considering factors such as durability, cost, and aesthetic appeal.
- Specify hardware and fittings that complement the design and meet quality standards.
Technical Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, to communicate design intent to production teams.
- Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and cutting lists to facilitate material procurement and fabrication.
Quality Assurance:
- Review shop drawings and prototypes to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
