What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operational Project Manager position at Kayem Foods, Inc.?
The Production Operational Project Manager works directly with Management Team to ensure that the Kayem Family produces safe and quality food products while working safely. The individual will work directly with the Plant Management in the deployment of company strategies for Production in coordination with Maintenance, Warehouse, and Quality Assurance Teams. Provide leadership, coaching and development to Production Supervisors and Team Leaders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Plant Management in production planning and strategy deployment
- Takes leading role from a production perspective in the implementation of new software and equipment that is deployed for production use
- Manages the MES system at the Chelsea facility which includes verifying that the data collected is accurate, analyzing production data, creating reports, and communicating to the management findings in these reports
- Manages the deployment of AX in production which includes being the liaison between IT and the supervisory and production team members
- Reviews Production and Operating reports and works with management to resolving deficiencies identified within these reports
- Coordinates and implements Yield, Productivity, and Safety Improvement Initiatives
- Oversees X-rays functions and safety from a production perspective
- Assists with the supervision of Production areas as needed
- Observes workflow and machine utilization to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
- Motivates and leads team members to achieve production goals
- Serves the team members immediate resource for questions and concerns
- Promotes and maintains the Continuous Improvement Initiatives which emphasize employee engagement, team building, and continuous improvement
- Assists in hiring process and interviews candidates as needed
Salary : $60,100 - $76,000
