Title:
Data CuratorAir Force TENCAP exploits National space, cyber and intelligence capabilities to deliver rapid, cost-dominant and innovative warfighting solutions across the full spectrum of Air Force and Joint military missions. AF TENCAP is a Congressionally-mandated rapid acquisition organization supporting tactical and operational warfighters, and serves as the Air Force executive agent for the Military Exploitation of Reconnaissance and Intelligence Technologies (MERIT) program. As the Air Force's leader for National-to-Tactical capability development, AF TENCAP collaborates with leading experts across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, National Laboratories, industry, inter-agency, academia, and partner nations.

Responsibilities:
The Data Curator evaluates data sets for accuracy and consistency. This role includes obtaining data from a variety of sources from well formatted APIs to inconsistently formatted text documents, and will require calling, emailing and meeting with data source providers and subject matter experts to determine the accuracy and value of the data sets. The data curator maintains data governance and ensures that security standards are maintained for the data sets.
This role requires an aptitude to learn programming languages on the job but does not require any programming experience for hiring. Employees in this role are expected to progress into a data engineer or data scientist role. This job requires being on site at least 3 days a week at 2424 Garden of the Gods.
Specifically, they:
Establish relationships and routinely engage with external data providers to receive raw data
Uses software tools to move and manually load data into classified data store(s)
Perform data analysis activities, including: data wrangling and cleaning
Where and when necessary performs manual data entry
Performs assessments, and creates technical reports regarding the veracity of data sources
Works with KBR developers to communicate necessary tools and applications which may be helpful to make their duties more efficient
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with JWICS or other TS military network
Required Skills:
Experience finding information on JWICS
Experience in a military domain
Writing formulas in MS Excel
Coursework or experience using descriptive statistics
Desired Skills:
Military planning or operational experience
Computer programming experience (e.g. VBA, Python)
Data curation or information management experience
Basic Compensation: $85,155 - $127,785k
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
