Title:
Electronic Assembler
KBR is looking for an Electronics Assembler to support our government customer in Columbia, Maryland.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare electrical and electronic equipment for assembly and integration into systems.
- Works from drawings, wire and cable lists to perform inter-system equipment connections.
- Performs simple or routine wiring of chassis utilizing wire lists and schematics.
- Install cable assemblies using standard written and generally accepted techniques including the provision for cable service loops and for proper cable routing.
- Uses hand and power tools as required to perform wire wrap and terminal connection installation.
- Uses cable testers and other audible testing instruments to verify correctness of terminations
- Assist other higher-level assemblers and engineering personnel in the performance of their work, consistent with own background and training.
Qualifications:
- Two years direct experience as a electronic assembler
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
- Must be able to assemble parts per drawing packages or thru direction from higher-level technicians or engineers.
- Soldering and crimping experience
- Must be able to use hand and power tools to perform assembly operations. Must be able to fabricate cables and install same using standard techniques.
