What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Technical Analyst position at KBR?
KBR is seeking a Junior Technical Analyst to perform technical tasking for the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E), Mission Prototype (MP) Directorate working within the metropolitan Washington, DC area.
Responsibilities Include:
Support the Mid-level Technical Analyst assisting the team to solve complex problems associated with project oversight and guidance of innovative technology, prototypes, and demonstrations
Assist and provide input to support Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) concept development, project management and execution
Apply the Mission Prototypes FCT process to assist in finding innovative foreign and domestic technology solutions to fill gaps that meet DoD requirements and warfighter needs.
Assist with concept development activities (i.e., technology outreach and assessment, technical input to support funding recommendations, process assessment, Systems Engineering and technical analysis, technology transition), including support to help link small innovative companies with emerging technology and military user requirements that support Joint Warfighting Concepts.
Provide input to project management and execution activities, including project status summaries
Assist in responding to short notice data calls, project updates, presentations, and deliveries of project information to leadership
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific, technical, or analytical discipline required
Experience supporting technical project management or technology management
Understanding of innovative technology prototypes and demonstrations
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Commercial/private sector or DoD industry experience, such as coordinating with small businesses, non-traditional defense vendors (highly desirable)
Strong oral and written communications
Security Clearance Requirements: Active SECRET
