What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at KBX?
As a Business Analyst on the B2B Integration Team, you will work within the agile framework to apply a general knowledge of transportation processes to our product integration strategy to deliver innovative and scalable integration solutions for our customers and their trading partners.
Our Team
The B2B Integration team is looking for a skilled Business Analyst to ensure seamless connectivity between external partners and our suite of KBX products. In this role, the Business Analysts work closely with product teams, software engineers, tech support, business implementation and customer experience teams to implement cutting-edge technologies that create disruptive change within the transportation and logistics industries.
What You Will Do
- Build relationships with customer-facing teams and external trading partners to gather a high-level understanding of transportation customer business processes and trading partner integration capabilities to build robust integration solutions for our customers.
- Collaborate closely with product team members to gather integration requirements, creating clear user stories which will guide software developers and quality assurance specialists through building, testing, and implementing B2B integration capabilities which will streamline integrations with external trading partners.
- Create functional documentation and data flow diagrams which summarize B2B Integration technical designs for use by tech support, trading partners, and customer facing resources.
- Contribute to the architectural design of B2B integration solutions, considering scalability, performance, and security requirements.
- Serve as an escalation point of contact for troubleshooting integration issues by applying your problem analysis skills and creativity to ensuring timely resolution, customer satisfaction and providing solutions which will address root cause.
- Proactively seek out and implement automation ideas to improve efficiency, streamline integration processes, and speed up turn-times to complete external integrations.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience working within an agile, product-focused team.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating into user stories for technical teams.
- Experience collaborating with product teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience articulating requirements between non-technical and technical resources.
- Experience with test case creation and executions.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience working in the transportation or logistics industry
- Experience performing data mapping between internal and/or external systems.
- Experience reading and interpreting B2B technical specifications documents.
- Experience reading, creating or modifying JSON, EDI X12, or XML schemas.
- Experience with API or EDI connectivity methods.
For this role, we anticipate paying $75,000 - $100,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
