As a Database Administrator specializing in Snowflake, you will play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing systems of our enterprise data platform. You will work closely with data engineers, dataarchitects, BI Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability, performance, and reliability.

Our Team
KBX is looking for a Database Administrator to join our team! The role will be part of the transformation of our Data and Analytics team responsible for building, supporting and enhancing our enterprise data platform. We are seeking an individual who will be part of design and implementation of the enterprise platform that possesses strong collaboration and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of data management and processing.
What You Will Do
- Manage and maintain all environments of cloud data warehouses, databases, and schemas, including provisioning, scaling, and optimizing for performance.
- Implement and enforce data security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR). Identifying, reporting, and managing database security issues, audit trails etc.
- Documentation and Training of new designs and best practices
- Monitoring and tune cloud data warehouse workloads to ensure optimal query performance and resource utilization. Monitoring usage, transaction volumes, response times, concurrency levels and troubleshoot proactively.
- Set up monitoring systems and alerts to identify and address performance issues or anomalies.
- Diagnose and resolve data platform-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Other relevant tasks include develop, backup and recovery, data object role management, documentation and capacity planning.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience managing and maintain databases to ensure security, performance and availability to support data storage and retrieval
- Experience with ELT pipelines and BI Consumptions systems
- Experience using SQL and Python in an enterprise environment
- Experience implementing data security measures, access controls, and design within a database
- Experience communicating with cross functional stakeholders and collaborating with data teams.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with large-scale data warehouse technology such as Snowflake or Redshift
- Experience using Python for automation, building data pipelines and managing resources
- Experience in design and implementing role-based access controls within the Snowflake platform.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization solutions, such as PowerBI or Tableau
- Experience with API (REST, GRPC) and streaming data capabilities (Kafka, AWS Kinesis, etc.)
- Experience with ELT/ETL tools like AWS Glue or Talend
For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - $140,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
