How You’ll Make an Impact
KCRW is launching a series of brand-new podcasts. What’s missing? You, a curious and funny producer to help source questions with some laughs and the occasional elegant tear along the way, edit audio, and work closely with our hosts. As Podcast Producer for KCRWs new batch of shows, you will be working on new and on-going projects.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Head of Podcast Audience Lab. This position is in the SAG-AFTRA Bargaining Unit.
What You’ll Do- Work across 1-3 shows at a time, handling active aspects of production and publication
- Book studio time and manage host schedules
- Source questions across media, including by text, voice memo, social media from anonymous members of the public
- Participate in recordings
- Guide host in retakes
- Edit tape for clarity
- Utilize minimal sound design as needed
- Coordinate mix with engineers
- Publish episodes in coordination with digital and marketing teams
- Coordinate with sales and underwriting teams on schedule changes
What You’ll Need
- 1 year podcast editing experience
- Familiarity with recording gear
- Experience working directly with talent
- Comfort and interest in addressing sensitive topics like sexuality, relationships, dating with humor and care

- Union minimum rate is $26.93/hour
