What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ink Mixer position at KDM?
JOB SUMMARY: The Ink Mixer develops color formulas and mixes screen printing ink, for production according to established company procedures and customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is primarily, yet not exclusively responsible and accountable for the following:
- Mixing color match formulas and sample ink batches
- Selecting formula ingredients according to substrate to be printed on and properties desired by the customer
- Estimating quantity of ink to be mixed
- Performing color checks
- Performing vendor quality checks in incoming ink
- Maintaining ink inventory control program
- Maintaining equipment, to include squeegees
- Administrative tasks to include Ink Inventory, Quality Check, Color Formulas and Supply Inventory
- Maintain flammable storage room
- Adhering to Safety, 6S and PPE requirements
- Following all department standard operating procedures and company policies
- Performing and completing all other work duties as assigned to include assisting in other departments
