Kearney & Company is seeking a Quality Control Specialist (Senior Associate). This role is remote with travel as needed.

 

Summary/ Job Duties:

• Research audit or attest technical inquiries

• Updates to standards and guidance

• Ability to work with multiple engagement teams

• Manage communications on the firm’s intranet, Kearney Connect

• Assisting with the development of audit and testing plans

• Performing tests of transactions, preparing schedules, and evaluating audit evidence

• Providing technical knowledge; working individually and on teams to support the completion of specific tasks within time and budget constraints; and interfacing with the client on a day-to-day basis

• Applying their expertise to the practical issues they identify or those presented by the client

• Helping the Partner/Principal/Director; and/or Senior Manager; and/or Manager formulate solutions; prepare deliverables, and documentation, and support presentations and client meetings

• Directing the work of staff, and reviewing workpapers and reports for accuracy and completeness


Qualifications

  • BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time relevant experience, audit and attest experience
  • Experience with technical accounting and auditing research
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, barring any travel restrictions associated with the current COVID-19 environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim U.S. Secret (or higher, such as Top Secret or TS/SCI) security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with the Federal Government and/or DoD clients
  • CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certification
  • Exposure to information technology systems and auditing techniques
  • Data analytics
