What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Manager position at keasis Inc?

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental health and safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Provide guidance and training to employees on EHS topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain records of EHS activities, including incident reports, training documentation, and inspection findings
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving workplace safety culture
- Stay up-to-date on changes in EHS regulations and best practices

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and OSHA standards
- Strong knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis for accidents and incidents
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on EHS topics
- Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs
- Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding EHS matters

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

  • EHS: 6 years (Required)
  • relevant safety and industrial hygiene: 4 years (Required)
  • development and management of ergonomics and physical safety: 4 years (Required)
  • upport and implement business unit and site injury reduction: 4 years (Required)
