Keck Medicine of USC includes a private teaching hospital comprised of Keck Hospital of USC (401 beds) and USC Norris Cancer Hospital (60 beds), a combined facility in East Los Angeles. Plus, there are the USC Arcadia Hospital (348 beds) in Arcadia and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital (158 beds) located in Glendale. The USC Care Medical Group is the faculty practice group with 900 physicians and more than 80 outpatient facilities in Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Tulare & Ventura counties.
THE POSITION
The TeamSTEPPS Program Manager will develop, implement and manage a comprehensive TeamSTEPPS training and orientation program to reduce clinical errors and enhance Patient Safety organization-wide. The Manager will develop and incorporate key milestones and performance metrics to measure effectiveness and overall success of the TeamSTEPPS program at Keck Medicine of USC. This role will help refresh any areas that have been previously trained, develop an orientation plan for onboarding employees/physicians, plan for future waves of roll out, facilitate tool building sessions and tool rollouts, and conduct rounding in rolled out areas. This position will be critical in helping with communication techniques and implementing hard wired safety tools for all areas of roll out and across the entire Keck Medicine of USC enterprise.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
· Ability to embrace and promote the Mission and Values of Keck Medicine of USC
· Bachelor’s RN required; JD or Master's (MSN, MHA, MBA, MPH...) preferred
· 3 years’ previous clinical nursing experience, preferably in high risk areas
· 5 years’ experience in Clinical Risk and/or Quality Management (Academic Medical Center – preferred)
· Previous Program Development/Project Management experience, presentation skills and teaching abilities
· Informative communication style & success with diversified, multi-disciplinary personnel, including physicians
· Self-starter with strong organizational skills, plus ability to prioritize and work independently
· Excellent interpersonal abilities, customer service skills and public relations savvy
· A sense of humor

Pay: $135,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
