Computer Drafter Job Description:
This is a critical support position for a busy utility construction company operating throughout New Mexico. As a Computer Drafter, daily work will involve utilizing client specific databases to produce high quality project designs, plans, field notes and drawings per client’s requirements and expectations.
Computer Drafter Responsibilities/Duties:
· Creates computer drawings and plans from sketches, photos, and database information.
· Responsible for reviewing and auditing drawing specifications before submitting to clients.
· Manages individual workload and independently completes assigned tasks on time.
· Communicates efficiently with engineering staff and coworkers to adapt or modify standard telecom industry techniques as needed.
· Must adhere to quality standards, project schedules and budgetary restrictions.
· Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for an extended period.

Our Company:
We have been in business in New Mexico for nearly 30 years. We perform work for a variety of communications, power, and fiber optic and data/cell providers. We have 7 offices throughout New Mexico and an office in El Paso, TX.
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday- Friday typically, 8-hour shift between 7a-6p.
Pay: Based on Experience. Paid Bi-weekly. Hourly Employee.
Job Qualifications:
· Educated in a technical discipline such as AutoCAD, Revit, Solid works, etc.
· Excellent computer navigation skills including CAD or similar drafting, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Ability to communicate professionally via email or messaging systems.
· Ability to learn various company systems to access, research, view and analyze information for use in completing job records, diagrams, and prints.
· High level of initiative and productivity
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
