Shifts: 1st and 2nd
Payrates: $13.52 to $13.72 per/hr- based on shift and experience
SUMMARY
Assembles or reassembles electrolytic capacitors according to General Manufacturing Procedures working as a member of an assembly group and using machines and hand tools by performing any combination of the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Signs off on work instructions and reads product specifications.
Sets up and programs machines for specific products.
Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture.
Impregnates, rivets, welds, seals, ages, tubes, covers, cuts leads, pours wax, washes, puts on discs, puts in vent plugs or performs similar operations, loading and unloading previously setup machines.
Builds up and drains voltage from capacitors using electrodes and other specified equipment.
Sets up and operates stamping machine to imprint product information onto surfaces of plastic tubing material.
Checks capacitors at various stages of process with x-ray equipment.
Gathers data, records and maintains SPC charts.
Performs on-line go-not-go tests and inspections using electronic and mechanical testing equipment to ensure capacitors meet production and customer specifications and standards.
Packs or assembles and attaches clamps and screws with boxes of finished capacitors according to specifications.
Assembles boxes, packs finished capacitors and marks boxes.
Logs and signs lot cards reporting number of good units and number of defective units, using codes to identify reasons for defects.
Works at different work stations as production needs require.
