Kelly Services has a Long-Term Temporary assignment with a global manufacturing company in Shelton, CT.

Job Title: Accounting Analyst

Working Arrangements: Hybrid (Minimum of 2 days in office. May need additional days depending on business needs.)

Pay rate: $35/hr.

Job Description

As an Accounting Analyst in Shelton, CT you will be a business partner with our Global Supply Chain Operations and Accounts Payable to ensure financial deliverables requirements are met in a timely manner and define an action plan to improve the efficiency of financial processes?and tools.

Main Responsibilities:

• Offers a clear view of intercompany invoicing and non-intercompany invoices for MTD and YTD
• Co-operate with Import/ Export to process intercompany invoices and identify any issues from prices and quantity
• Co-operate with Accounts Payable to make sure all accrual for intercompany and non-intercompany have been process and completed in timely matters.
• Analyzing all billing procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Verifying with other departments that orders have been fulfilled and invoices are ready to be process.
• Delivers a wide range of business insightful information that support data driven decision-making and strategic decision on current business and new projects
• Challenges performance and provides recommendations for cost-saving strategies to meet targets and improve performance
• Anticipates: Shines the light on issues or/and opportunities (risk and opportunity analysis) to enable timely and effective action plan
• Work closely with the Mexico team to identify any billing issues – quantity and prices.
• Month-end closing Journal Entries for Expenses, PPV and MFG Variances, inventories (e.g., Goods in Transit)
• Prepare the Obsolete provision for each month end
• Worker Orders Closing Process assuring the reporting of Finished Goods and activity produced
• Weekly STDC Cost Calculation for Co-Packing in JDE
• Assuring re-conciliation in Data System S2M/HFM as Transfer Price and Costing
• Monthly KPIs, Expense and Inventory Reports
• Audit stock counts and review any variances
• Creates PO for services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, or Business/relevant field
• Spanish / French preferable
• Advance Excel skills
• Role model in ethic, transparency, and confidentiality
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to analyze on a micro and macro level
• Communication and presentation skills
• Detail oriented
• Aptitude to succeed in a high-paced and results-oriented environment.
• Excellent understanding and ability to learn new Information Systems and MS Excel
• ERP Management (JDE preferred)
• HFM
