Hours: Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm

Assignment Duration: Long-Term Contract

This position will work alongside the OES and provide inclusive administrative support to the Midland Operations EH&S Organization. This job would entail someone who is an independent worker and thinker. The individual must be able to prioritize given multiple deadlines and have solid administrative skills.

What’s a typical day as an Administrative Assistant? You’ll be:


  • Administrative Focal Point - for EH&S, anticipating needs and taking appropriate action to effectively manage daily responsibilities.
  • Project Support - Provide administrative and special project support to EH&S Delivery Leaders as well as other members of the team.
  • New Member Integration - Procure items for new hires (laptops, phones, cells etc)
  • Document Management System (DMS) - Element Focal Point for Document Management, Records Retention and File Share Permissions.
  • Maintain office assignments, request work orders and order supplies through external vendors.
  • Staff Mtgs - Participate in staff meetings - i.e. note taking and action item follow-up.
  • Team Mtgs - Participate as an active team member, working both independently and in cooperation with other team members to complete projects and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Improve Process Identify and lead improvement efforts within administrative work processes that deliver value to the team.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have the following Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 3 years of Administrative experience (within Petro-chemical environment preferred)
  • Being an organized self-started exhibiting good judgment and the flexibility to adapt to priority changes and demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence.
  • A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
