Environmental Health & Safety Technician -
Job Title Lead Specialist - Environmental Health Safety
The EHS Specialist will provide direct support to the Dalton, GA capital construction project site to reduce risk and minimize hazard in the workplace in support of Core Values.
The main duties of the role include but are not limited to: Issuing of Daily Work Permits and validation of contractor Job Safety Analyses Help to drive the EH S goals of the project and the plant.
Provide direct daily EH S leadership and oversight of all contractors. Provide coaching to contractors on safety expectations and requirements.
Participate or lead project EHS meetings.
Create Procedures where needed.
Perform field observations/interactions and redirect unsafe behaviors.
Assist plant manufacturing rep and contract administration in daily work coordination.
Collaborate and partner with Plant Operations and Staff, Business EH S Leader and Project Team
Become familiar with plant technology, hazards and risks.
Facilitate daily safety meetings when required.
Perform Worksite audits including Life Saving Rules
Compile reports and present findings and recommendations to project team when requested.
Attend in person and virtual meetings as scheduled.
Exercise Stop Work authority when circumstances deem necessary.
