What’s a typical day as a Field Research Assistant? You’ll be:
The Assistant will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks or a specific assignments depending on the stage of the seasonal research program. Tasks may include: Field research operations related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations and sample harvest. Sample processing operations including preparation of supplies, sorting, weighing, preparation for shipping and seed packaging. General facility operations including general clean-up, organization of samples and supplies, and other routine tasks as they arise. The Assistant may also perform additional tasks as requested by the supervising Manager. These tasks may include: Operation of mobile field equipment, such as a tractor or forage harvester.
- Specific skills or requirements you want in a candidate: Washington Commercial Applicators License preferred. Agriculture Experience / Field Agronomy / Plot Experience & Data Collection - Field Work; Drivers License to haul items with trailer
