IT Support Specialist
Location: Compsol/Ford in Dearborn, MI
- Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Efficient troubleshooting abilities
- Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
- Great customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience using a variety of PC software (Word, EXCEL, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience installing PC software and hardware (e.g., printers)
- Basic familiarity with networks (IP addresses, password-controlled access, etc.)
- Maintain operation of all Badging Services computers and software
- Install and update company software and hardware as needed
- Generating documentation for CompSol Software as new features are introduced
- Testing software updates and reporting findings to the CompSol Development staff
- Gaining a complete working knowledge of all CompSol software systems and the Access Control System
- NetBadge Badging & ID Credentialing System
- NetBadge Visitor System
- NetBadge Badge History Reporting
- NetBadge Utilities Badge Printing & Permissions software
- Remote Badge Printing for Ford sites in various countries
- OnGuard Access Control System
- Operational knowledge of Windows Server
- Working with the Ford IT dept. to maintain the CompSol systems within Ford Data Centers
- Work as relay between CompSol development team and Ford
- Maintaining the CompSol Visitor Systems
- Maintaining Remote Printers
- Technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems
- Handling tech support calls on our software from various Ford sites
- Assisting call-ins or live chat with technical difficulties
- Resolving issues through remote access
- Work with the CompSol Development staff to test and diagnose any issues with our system software
- Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems
Work location is the Badging Services Office at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn Research & Engineering Center and the CompSol Office in Southfield up to once
