A full-service HVAC (heating and air-conditioning) company, that has been in business for 30 years is in search of a Junior Accountant at their headquarters in Westborough, MA.
Job Summary: As the Junior Accountant, the candidate will have responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the business payables, receivables, collection, cash applications, and vendor payments. This position will also aid in monthly closing, fixed assets, and human resource. The candidate will have a wide variety of tasks such as data entry, answering phone calls, running reports, investigating solving issues, and other administrator responsibilities.
Your typical day:
- Ownership of Payables & Receivables.
- Handle vendor calls resolve questions.
- Set up vendors and voucher vendor invoices.
- Handle customer calls resolve questions and set up customers.
- Ownership of fixed Assets, conduct audit of fixed assets and tag existing and new assets.
- Review and update current process as well as develop in processes procedures.
- Develop cross training manual.
- Assist with the monthly financial closing.
- Prepare account analysis.
- Assist with various compliance requirements.
Requirements
- BS in accounting or business administration.
- 4 years of experience working in the accounting field.
- Strong data entry and computer skills.
- Quick learner Able to multitask and prioritize daily tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word.
- Experience working with an ERP software ideally Acumatica preferred.
Additional Information:
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
- Pay Rate: 50K-55K Annual salary.
- This is an IN-PERSON position.
- This is a DIRECT HIRE permanent position.
- Candidates must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
