Monday - Friday. Some Saturdays required for the next few months at OT pay

Soap Making - $19
Soap Cutting - $16

Day in the life: People with food service background tend to do really well here. You will be in a warehouse fast paced manufacturing setting for a company that makes men's soap bars. All the positions are easily learnable and a quick orientation shadowing of employee will occur on first day. All roles are labor extensive and require some heavy lifting regularly from 30-50 lbs. The company will train you and truly does not care about any prior experience as long as you show a willingness to learn and have history of good attendance. If you have a history of bad attendance please do not apply as you will just get let go from the job. The warehouse has large fans to help cool off the warehouse during the hot hours of 1PM-5:30PM. You will be on your feet the entire 8 hours. Steel toe boots required. The warehouse will smell like clean soaps and other fragrances. 1st day they will be in training first 4 hours. They will then go into shadowing someone on the job. First 2 days of training/shadowing (safety training included).
Company: Large Soap Maker
Steel toe boots non slip required. Pants must fully cover a person's legs (no shorts allowed). Sleeves are required while working in the warehouse- tank tops are prohibited.
Responsibilities:
Mold building – entry level, quick learner, fast pace- Pay 17.00 per hour
- Able to work fast pace
- Pouring liquid soup into a mold (it will harden over time and then removal)
Soap making – need some experience with mixing, pouring or blending –
- Clean, line and prepare soap molds
- Weigh and measure ingredients including vegetable oils, lye and fragrance
- Blend and mix ingredients using hand tools and automated equipment
- Observe mixture while blending to detect variations of color, viscosity, and homogeneity
- Pour mixture into molds using manual and semi-automated equipment
- Learn by doing, troubleshoot and develop optimal soap making processes
- Assist in training, coaching, and developing new members of the soap making team
- Maintain a safe and productive soap making workplace
Other responsibilities may include:
- R&D: work with Production Manager and R&D/product team to develop and optimize recipes
- QA: implement and maintain procedures to ensure all products meet quality requirements
- Process optimization: work with Production Manager to test and develop optimal processes and production equipment
- Inventory management: receive and put away raw materials; store, stage and ship finished goods and work-in-process
Soap cutting:
- Safely remove soap from 50lb molds using automated and manual hoist systems
- Operate manual and hydraulic cutting equipment to cut soap into loaf or bar
- Quality Assurance: measure and verify all specifications of large soap bricks prior to cutting. Ensure cut soap loaves and bars meet specifications before placing on drying trays
- Keep station, all necessary equipment, and utensils clean and in working order
Other responsibilities may include:
- Inventory management: receive and put away raw materials; store, stage and ship finished goods and work-in-process
- Operate material handling and safety equipment including forklifts, manual pallet trucks, motorized hand/lift trucks for drums, totes and pallets
- Heavy manual lifting of soap molds, soap in drying trays, equipment, cartons etc.
- Operate pumps and valves to handle liquid ingredients
- Package, label, box, palletize and ship finished products
