Kelly is hiring a QA Lab Tech for one of our food manufacturing clients in Calhoun, GA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct required tests, analysis, and/or verification steps to assure that raw materials, batched product, and finished product exceeds established quality standards.
2. Verify conformity through measurement and assessment.
3. Make quick decisions and use sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions and disposition of goods.
4. Ability to handle being exposed to smell and a variety of flavor products, essential oils and raw materials.
5. Be able to participate in safety initiatives, committees and teams.
6. Never take shortcuts or use the improper tools/equipment that could compromise the safety of themselves or others.
7. Food safety and quality is Kerry’s priority so it’s important to adhere to all Food Safety/Quality SOP's while also accurately completing required Food Safety & Quality records.
8. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a hazard free work area.

Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
1. 1 years of experience in food, pharmaceutical industry, or manufacturing environment is needed to understand the needs in quality.
2. Organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential.
3. Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.
4. Ability to use a computer and manufacturing software.
5. Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.
6. Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency and work safely.
7. Ability to strive for excellence in all areas; focus on effective internal and external customer-supplier relationships.
Education:
1. Previous work experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment.
2. Experience with GMP, HACCP, FSMA, FCC/USP/ASTA test methods, aseptic technique and food or pharmaceutical production is preferred.
3. Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft office such as excel and outlook.
