What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Technicians position at Kelly?
Quality Control Technician in the Penn Yan Area.
The primary function of this position is to perform testing in the Quality Control Main and Polishing Labs on raw materials, in-process materials and finished product as required by ISO procedures. Will consider new graduates, entry level skilled or highly skilled. If you have lab experience, we would like to speak to you. Pay is $20-27/hr depends on experience. May hire directly for the right person. This is the current shift opening: • D shift * Wed: 1:30am-7:30am, Thurs, Fri, Sat: 7:30pm-7:30am
Essential Responsibilities:
- Performs job duties in compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety policies and practice
- Performs testing of raw materials in accordance with raw materials specifications.
- Performs in-process and finished goods testing based on ISO9000 control plans.
- Performs equipment calibrations and maintenance as required to assure instrumentation is in top working order.
- Reports in-process test data into NWA Quality Analyst SPC software and monitors for zone rule violations.
- Reports raw material and finished goods data on job tickets and monitors for specification compliance.
- Samples incoming raw materials as required.
- Assists in maintenance of raw material and finished product retains
- Supports special testing requests for Engineering, R&D and AT as requested.
- Updates training as required to maintain proficiency in Main and Polishing Lab test methods.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Science related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 – 3 years of experience in working in a chemical laboratory.
- Demonstrated ability to perform chemical testing using similar or relative equipment.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.
- Strong computer skills
- Good project management skills
- Able to work 12 hour shifts with the majority of that time being spent standing or walking.
