Hours: 7AM - 5PM Monday through Friday with occasional overtime.
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
POSITION & REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:
Under general direction, receives, inspects and stores materials, tools, equipment, and products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Unload and unpack shipments of products
- Perform incoming inspection that may include damage and correct quantities
- Report damages, defects or shortages to the appropriate person
- Match shipments to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on paperwork
- Complete receiving transactions
- Prepare and organize received stock for inventory
- Return damaged products to senders
- Sorting and placing materials or items in designated storage area on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Organizing, sweeping, dusting, and mopping work area for orderliness at all times. May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
- Inventory cycle counts: entering, documenting, tracking, etc through MRP system.
- Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
- Work effectively with all departments for material needs to support production as well as Customer Service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
GENERAL:
- Complies with & enforces all applicable safety rules, regulations, & procedures
- Performs all duties in complete compliance with all legal & ethical standards.
- Maintains security of proprietary information.
- Wearing the proper safety equipment.
- Assisting to ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Reading and interpreting blue prints, engineering drawings, specifications and checklists.
- Setting priorities to support production.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years minimum related experience in manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in stockroom preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of MRP, basic inventory control, production experience,
- Prefer computer literate-MRP/ERP System modules, MS Office including Excel, Word etc.
- Must be well organized and be able to handle multiple tasks and projects at a time
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to utilize a telephone and computer and visit the plant floor
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds as required.
