TASKS/SERVICES. The contractor shall:
(1) Provide programmatic support for oversight of project compliance with National Institutes of Health (NIH) requirements for two large Coordination and Data Collection Centers – Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics Underserved Populations (RADx-UP) Coordination and Data Collection Center (CDCC) to reduce disparities in COVID-19 testing as well as the NIH Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation (FIRST) Coordination and Evaluation Center (CEC).
(2) Support the Program Official (PO) and leaders by gathering, validating, analyzing, summarizing, and reporting a wide variety of data used to plan and conduct scientific research
(3) Manage the ongoing activities of the CDCC and CEC, which includes tracking communication with POs and PIs for review, approval, and compliance
(4) Organize and maintain project documentation and communications, track action items and tasks, provide deadline reminders to Program staff, and maintain spreadsheets of relevant information
(5) Design, perform and complete research projects, applying scientific knowledge to each project, and provide a detailed summary of goals and scope, milestones and go/no-go decisions points
(6) Draft funding plans; develop milestones and budgets for current and potential projects; and for transitioning projects through different phases and stages
(7) Conduct literature searches in PubMed, Web of Science and other information sources; manage references using bibliographic software
(8) Prepare scientific and programmatic reports and presentation materials such as tables, graphs, slides, abstracts, posters and overheads by assimilating and mastering the scientific data and programmatic context for use at presentations and meetings
(9) Perform logistical planning for various scientific meetings, conference calls, symposia, lectures, workshops and special projects
(10) Maintain ongoing, proactive communication with key personnel throughout the initiative; gather, provide and exchange information with investigators, their staff and other relevant individuals
(11) Develop, update, and maintain information databases (SharePoint sites) and provide support for document retrieval and data analysis
REQUIREMENTS. The contractor must have:
(1) Master’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, Psychology, Sociology, or related discipline
(2) Experience with project planning and project management strategies
(3) Experience drafting meeting minutes, agendas, reports, and presentation as well as assembling background information through literature searches and use of PubMed and EndNote
(4) Experience with data analysis including use of Excel, SAS, SPSS, or similar software preferred
(5) Knowledge of NIH grants and funding mechanism is a plus
