Kelly is hiring for a Scientist II position with one of our clients in West Hills, CA.
- 1st shift
- 12 months contract (May be extended or converted)
- $30/hr
Job Description:
- Review technical process changes on molecular and antibody product lines.
- Collaborate with R&D and support transfer of complex processes to manufacturing.
- Lead product and process improvement projects to increase efficiencies.
- Coordinate, perform and write validation reports for process, equipment and test methods.
- Perform root cause analysis of manufacturing issues.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field
- 2 years work experience in a quality, r&d, formulation, or other related laboratory environment role within the IVD medical device industry.
- Hands-on experience with qPCR, NGS and cell culture a plus
- Direct working experience with bulk manufacturing process
- Familiarity with Design Control process and process validation
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Quality System Regulations and ISO 13485 regulations
- Strong laboratory skills including pipetting, safety, and hazardous chemical handling
- Must be organized and detail oriented to be able to prioritize own and other’s work and meet business productivity metrics
- Self-motivated, independent, and a proactive driving force of execution
