Shipping & Receiving Lead

Kelly has an excellent early career opportunity as a Shipping & Receiving Lead in Statesville, NC. Our partner is focused on the recycling industry and manufactures, sells and supports Industrial Shredding equipment in a number of business categories. Starting salary is $40,000, and this is a Direct Hire position with medical insurance through BCBS and a matching 401K program through TransAmerica.

Job Description:
The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for handling all incoming and outgoing inventory for the company. This includes parts as well as equipment.

Responsibilities of a Shipping & Receiving Lead include the following:

• Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them, and shipping outgoing items via UPS, Estes, FedEx, DHL.
• Answer incoming customer calls in a professional manner
• Maintain company stock through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items including periodic stock count .
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics for large incoming items
• Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
• Secondarily the person that fits this position will have a can do attitude and help their co-workers with tasks such as customer demonstrations or other activities going on within the business.
• Duties will also include building upkeep, including general cleanliness, grounds keeping lawn mowing , and any projects needed for the facility.
• Follow all safety protocols in the area

Skills & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience in QuickBooks a plus
• Forklift experience (up to 10,000lbs): Company can provide official training as needed
• Experience in shipping items that can be large / heavy pallet type shipping
• Experience in loading large items onto transport trucks.
