Under the general direction of the Nurse Manager/Nurse Supervisor/Nursing Coordinator, the Clinic Support Specialist I performs varied administrative and clerical duties for an assigned clinical direct patient care department or departments. This individual analyzes and confirms eligibility, assists with referrals and prior authorizations, utilizes various system applications, interprets multiple medical plan benefits to maximize payor approvals and reimbursement. Clinic Support Specialist II will provide support in the nursing stations handling essential patient care administrative tasks to include COVID screening and reminder calls, Health Risk Assessments, Fee for Service and Well Woman Exam outreach calls which have significant financial impact on the organization. The Clinic Specialist II will interface with physicians, clinical staff and patients.

Experience
3 to 5 years general administrative experience and 2 years experience in a medical office environment OR
1 year previous KSC experience in a position similar to but not limited to DSS II, MA/CMA or Member Services Rep
1 year previous KSC experience in a position similar to but not limited to DSS II, MA/CMA or Member Services Rep
