Responsibilities
The Nurse Supervisor is accountable for planning and oversight of department staff activities related to patient care, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to fiscal budget, policies, procedures, standards and regulations. He or she works collaboratively with others at all levels of the organization to create an environment of excellence, trust, and continual learning. Must be informed and maintain generalist nursing skill proficiency/competency in all aspects of clinical nurse responsibilities in an ambulatory care setting
Scope of responsibility will include single or multiple departments and /or 4 - 10 providers

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education
A.
RN from accredited nursing program. Bachelor’s degree in nursing or four years supervisory/management experience (4 years).
B.
Masters degree in nursing or related field
Experience
A.
4 years clinical RN experience with at least 2 years progressive supervisor/management experience
B.
Licenses
A.
Active, current Texas license
B.
Nurse Certification in work related field (within 1 year)
Special Skills
A.
Current ACLS (within 3 months), BLS issued by the American Heart Association, PALS if supervise pediatric department (within 6 months) Personnel Management, Clinical Management
Proficient keyboarding, Basic computer skills
B.
PALS, CPR Instructor, refined public relations, verbal and writing expertise
Other
A.
Able to use equipment and related supplies for a selected patient population. Able to use mechanical devices, such as those used in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy.

Experience with EPIC system
