POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for conducting administrative technical appraisal reviews for both consumer and mortgage lines of business to ensure reports are compliant with regulatory guidelines. Assists in the development of appraisal policies and procedures which are legally compliant and support the objectives of the Prime Valuation. Assists with the other necessary duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Ensures that valuations are resonably supported, credible and compliant with federal and state regulations, USPAP, FIRREA, lender policies and guidelines, and industry standards.
- Use appropriate valuation methodology to review and prepare assessments of appraisal reports for our clients.
- Prepare appraisal review decisions in accordance with the service level guidelines per department.
- Assist management in coordinating the approved appraiser panel and monitoring the quality of the product received.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
College degree in Finance, Real Estate, Banking, or similar related fields, preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of appraisal valuation techniques preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous experience in Appraisal Review in a mortgage/underwriting capacity.
Five to Eight years of similar or related experience.
Advanced knowledge of FNMA / FHLMC and FHA guidelines.
Working knowledge of Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Working knowledge of Appraisal Independent Requirements (AIR).
