POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of risk management programs that result in reduced risk to the Credit Union. Ensure that all risk related compliance policies are in force and reviewed periodically for adequateness. Directs and coordinates all procedural updates related to risk issues. Coordinates and assists in the training of all risk regulations, policies, and procedures. Assisting with the Vendor Management Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Works with internal and external auditors and examiners to ensure the Credit Union responds appropriately to exceptions and other recommendations.
• Periodically reviews documentation to assure that Kemba policies and procedures are in compliance with all pertinent Federal and State regulations and that risk assessments are up to date.
• Conducts periodic checks to see that compliance is applied in practice as well on paper.
• Prepares management reports on risk and compliance issues.
• Performs assigned Vendor Risk Reviews and Assessments and prepares reports for Management review.
• Assists with the overall Vendor Management Program.
• Special projects, research, analysis, or any other duties assigned by the Director of Risk and Compliance or general counsel.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

• (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of a specialized training course conducted by vendor, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
• Degree in Business Management, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• Other industry certification (CIA, CPA) or designation (CUCE, BSACS) helpful.

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Credit Union structure and operations.
• Understanding of related legal requirements.
• General knowledge of Rules and Regulations pertaining to the Credit Union.

Experience Required:

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to operate related computer applications.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and investigatory abilities.
• Tough minded, persistent, and tactful.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Able to operate PCs, adding machine, viewers, readers, and telephones.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $56,519.42 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

• Risk management: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• CIA Certification (Preferred)
• CPA Certification (Preferred)
