Job Title - Analyst Total Rewards

Location - Can report to either Pittsburgh office or Latrobe office. Will have flexibility to work hybrid from home some amount of time.


Job Summary

Provides support in the design, implementation, and administration of various components of Kennametal’s Total Rewards programs. Compensation components up to and including - base compensation, variable compensation, executive compensation, and North American benefits in Kennametal’s quest to offer market competitive compensation that aligns to our true pay for performance culture to recruit, retain, and motivate our team members to achieve success. This role is anticipated to spend 80% of one’s time on compensation matters and 20% on North American benefits matters. This role reports to the Senior Manager Global Compensation with a dotted-line relationship to the Manager Global Benefits.


Key Job Responsibilities


  • Analyses third party proprietary surveys to ensure the levels of compensation and benefits provided in the local region are competitive and cost effective and aligned with the global Total Rewards philosophy and strategy.
  • Identifies and prepares analyses and recommendations with regard to the pay structures for all jobs, taking into consideration country specific market and business needs.
  • Prepares compensation recommendations for new hires and promotions within the region upon market review.
  • Partners with the Total Rewards team, HR Business Partners, HR Shared Services Center, HR Information Systems, and the business customers to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assists in the administration of compensation programs such as salaries, short- and long-term incentives, job evaluations, job descriptions, salary surveys and also may include the following areas of compensation: executive, international, sales incentive and other specialized areas of compensation. May also provide support in the development and implementation of various compensation programs.
  • Support HR Generalists and provide consultation to business leaders in managing business focused rewards programs.
  • Works with external vendors to successfully complete and submit compensation and benefit surveys.
  • Provide support to the Manager Global Benefits and HR Shared Services Center in the administration of benefit programs covering health & welfare benefits, including medical, life, disability, accident, retirement, etc. paying special attention to North America specific market and business needs within the overall total rewards philosophy and strategy.
  • Works independently with moderate guidance and acts as a total rewards resource to solve challenges facing the business in this regard.


Requirements

  • B.S. in Business – Major in HR or related field
  • CCP - Certified Compensation Professional strongly preferred
  • 1-3 Years experience in total rewards or compensation
