Low Voltage Field Technician Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Field Technician to join our team. The Low Voltage Field Technician will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining low voltage electrical systems, including security systems, fire alarms, data cabling, and audio/visual systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems, as well as experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Low Voltage Field Technician Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and maintain low voltage electrical systems, including security systems, fire alarms, data cabling, and audio/visual systems.
- Conduct site surveys to determine optimal installation points and cable routes.
- Install electrical components, such as conduits, switches, and control panels, according to electrical codes and standards.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure proper operation and diagnose and repair any problems.
- Provide technical support to customers and end-users, including training and system maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations and repairs, including documenting cable routes, installation points, and equipment used.
- Communicate effectively with customers and other team members to ensure timely and high-quality installations and repairs.
Low Voltage Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of experience in low voltage electrical systems, telecom installation, broadband internet installation, or network maintenance.
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, including security systems, fire alarms, data cabling, and audio/visual systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
