Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, and assist them with their inquiries.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Provide information about Respiratory services, insurance coverage, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Relay messages accurately and in a timely manner.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients needing Respiratory services.
- Assist patients in completing necessary paperwork and forms.
- Verify patient insurance information and eligibility for Respiratory services.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and files.
- Process patient intake and registration, ensuring all information is entered correctly into the system.
- Prepare and manage delivery tickets, orders, and other documentation related to Respiratory.
- Coordinate with clinical staff, insurance companies, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and setup of equipment.
- Follow up with patients regarding their Respiratory needs and address any issues or concerns.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including patient follow-up letters.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of office supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration or medical office management is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical office, hospital, or CPAP/Respiratory setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
