What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compensation Analyst position at Kennedy Jenks?
The Compensation Analyst, with support from the HR Director, will be the Subject Matter Expert for KJ compensation projects and will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, compliance, and administration of KJ compensation programs. This position will provide analytical and consultative support to the company’s leadership team on all compensation- and compliance-related matters. The ideal candidate will drive KJ compensation and rewards program changes to meet current and future business needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, consultation and education to HR and Operations to solve compensation-related business challenges (i.e. internal and external equity issues, compensation benchmarking, challenging offers).
- Complete compensation-related projects such as job architecture and development of new or revision of existing compensation processes, bonus/incentive program redesign and/or development with cost models to reflect plan design changes, and completion of annual salary surveys.
- Develop and document procedures to streamline processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Partner with General Counsel to assure company compliance with applicable governmental and federal/state pay reporting requirements including pay equity analysis.
- Direct the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with employment-related laws and regulations with support from General Counsel.
- Other items as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, or another business-related field
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in compensation
- Well versed in HR principles and best practices in compensation including job analysis/evaluation
- Experience in building compensation models
- Superior attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct and interpret complex analyses and data, and provide insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to translate quantitative insights to non-quantitative audiences
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis of data
- Ability to handle multiple projects / tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and in compliance with company policies
Preferred Qualifications
- CCP designation
- Previous experience working in the A/E/C industry
- Power BI

The salary range in Rancho Cordova is anticipated to be $88,300-$125,000 depending upon experience and qualifications.
