About the job:

Kent is seeking software/database developers to support a major client in Houston (can work in-office/remote). Ideal candidate has experience in the development of SQL Oracle and Access Databases.

Qualifications / Knowledge

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science from an accredited University or College.
• 5 years of experience Software development.
• 3 years of experience in MS SQL development and implementation.
• Experience in the fields of:
• data quality
• data profiling
• data security
• data modelling
• reference data and master data management
• and data migration
• understanding of relational and warehousing database technology
• Awareness of Agile
• Experience with Fleet Management Systems or operations research a plus

Responsibilities

• Follows required corporate processes and policies
• Translation of Business requirements, logical model to physical data model
• Conceptualize how physical data is captured and how it should be modeled for analysis
• Construction/ implementation/testing of MS SQL interfaces to map multiple data sources to logical model
• Creates and Executes Test plans
• Optimization of code to achieve performance benchmarks
• Appropriate documents code
• Ensures appropriate source code versioning and control
