A Systems Technician Specialist IT within the Security Administration Branch is responsible for fulfilling numerous roles relating to the Commonwealth’s Enterprise Identity Management (EIM) strategy through the successful planning, deployment operationalization and support of Identity management systems and services. Utilizing the Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) solution to implement required functionality, polices and processes across an enterprise and complex environment. Attention to detail, solid communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to work collaboratively with a small team and others in Executive Cabinet agencies are essential.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Support the configuration and administration of the EIM system;
- Maintain and manage identities through code and workflow management;
- Monitors performance and performs analysis on the EIM system on a daily basis and recommends configuration changes;
- Troubleshoots hardware/software failures related to the EIM system
- Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution;
- Interacts with other COT technical teams and agency customers to provide ongoing support of the EIM system;
- Perform operations of EIM infrastructure and support problem solving for directories, applications and other solutions;
- Develops, documents and supports scripts required to deliver a variety of Identity synchronization solutions;
- Communicates and works cooperatively with users, staff and team.
- Experience with Identity Management systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 integration and provisioning including Azure AD and AD Connect.
- Knowledge of PowerShell tools.
- Initiative to take on the challenging work and troubleshoot a problem using available resources and logical steps.
- Good organizational and communication skills to manage projects coordinating multiple teams and customers.
- Excellent listening skills and a strong desire to learn.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of professional experience in computer operating systems, computer programming, systems support, or systems analysis.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Related technical or vocational training will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year for year basis. A master's degree in computer science will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in computer programming, systems analysis, systems support, and/or computer operations will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year for year basis. Experience in business or public administration, statistics, research, or a related field will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
